4. Your study schedule is based on the rationale that you "might" actually die before the test!

5. Your parents inquire about your grades and you sing the Cookie Monster song: "C is for cookie, that's good enough for me..."

Storyboard? What is it? A storyboard is a graphic organizer in the form of illustrations or images displayed in a sequence for the purpose of pre-visualizing a motion picture, animation or interactive media. 

This is our first time working with storyboards, we will make it in paper. To clarify your doubts, click HERE and you will see how to create a storyboard in a few steps!

Instructions:

1. See below the storyboard slides prepared for you. You can download it into your computer and work direcltly with it or to print it. 
2. Watch again the video about the song Titanium and  think the issues it deals with: bullying? special children? telekinetic powers?  Choose one issue you must become titanium to be strong in a difficult  situation. After selecting the topic, design your own story about the topic you selected.
3. Choose a title for your storyboard. 
4. The images can be cut and copied from the web, a paper, magazines, or you can draw by yourself!
5. The presentation, order of sequences, coherence and a good story will be evaluated. And, of course, good English!
6. Prepare the story to send it to the teacher by e-mail or hand it in.

Prepare this activity to hand in as a Project Work. You can work in pairs. It must include a cover with the project title, your name/s and surname/s and class. 

Write about:

1.  Avicii is not the real name of the DJ and producer of the song and video. Find out what the name means. You can relate to this link if you don't know and need information about it: click HERE.
2.  The name of the song. Analyze it. 
3.  The girls wake up in a town that appears to be drab, colourless and lifeless. Why are there two different settings? Describe them. Why are they there?
4.  Why do you think people watch the girls in that way?
5.  Do the girls feel fine living in that village?
6.  What does one of them travel to the city and comes back to the town?
7.  What's the meaning of the symbol tattoed on the young people? If you don't know find our in the web by yourself.
8. Provide a short explanation about each stanza:

British inventions and discoveries are objects, processes or techniques invented or discovered partially or entirely by a person from Britain. 


The world might not have shaken when these things were first invented, but these great British inventions -among other ones- have made a huge impact on our lives since their first concepcion. 

Many of us cannot imagine life without them. From the television to the world wide web and everything between.

Coming from a nation which has a real sense of importance based on our inventions -bus, dulce de leche, ballpoint pen, etc.- I thought it would be interesting to investigate what Argentina has given to the world. And it is much more than mate!

Design a power point presentation (PPP) with top 10 Argentine Inventions. You can work in pairs. Each slide must include:

1. a picture related to the invention,
2. who created it and when,
3. a brief explanation about that invention.

The song music video features a girl -in full Galantis face paint, no less- tackling a bully situation with a bunch of lost boys. At the near end she takes on her nemesis in a fierce dance battle.
